How to find whether ESXi is upgraded or not?

Hello Everyone,

I assume this blog will help you on finding ESXi update/Upgrade Date and Time.

Here I have upgraded ESXi from 5.5 to ESXi 6.0

 At first will make sure current build version running on the ESXi Host.

a) Putty/Shell access to ESXi Host.

b) Run command #vmware -vl



c) ESXi update/Upgrade logs are resides under ESXi Directory /var/log/esxupdate.log

d) Search on esxupdate.log with ESXi Build number "2494585".

      Ex: cat /var/log/esxupdate.log |grep "2494585"

e) You could be able to find VIB(vSphere Installation Bundle) VMware_locker_tools-light_6.0.0-0.0.2494585 which is installed from ESXi 6.0 ISO bundle during ESXi upgrade from 5.5 to ESXi 6.0

f) So ESXi 6.0 (Build-2494585) installed on 2015-12-18 at 10:11 AM UTC
